21 of a rare set of 27 original hearth tiles c.1880. Aesthetic Movement design of daisies, within a stylised undulating border. Transfer printed and hand-painted. Each tile 152x152x10mm. Some minor chipping to some edges. One of the tiles has been repaired and one has a small chunk missing, but both can be placed so the damage is not noticeable. Three additional tiles might be 50% salvageable, if required. We used these ourselves, as a display. They are mounted on A/C sheet and could be re-laid with the backing intact. It's very unusual to find such a large set, in such good condition. Similar tiles, but in smaller numbers are listed on the leading U.K. antique tile dealer's web site for approximately GBP60.00 each. The single tile image is nearest to actual colourway.
