Escutcheons, or keyhole surrounds with or without swivel covers were always used in Victorian and Edwardian and Art Deco houses.
They are often missing or damaged, particularly the porcelain ones. Fortunately, as well as our original examples, we also have a selection of high quality reproduction escutcheons that we used to import from Bullers Staffordshire (England), founded in 1840. See below for full details.
