Architectural Antiques Melbourne
Welcome to our new website.
We are, however, not new to the business of architectural antiques. We used to run newspaper advertisements over 40 years ago, suggesting a visit to our barn in Yarrambat (a semi-rural suburb of Melbourne's north-east) where we offered a huge range of 4 panel doors, French doors and other recycled building materials. The barns are still there and we still have a huge selection of architectural antiques which you can view on our website.
Our shop at 59 Church Street, Hawthorn, is also still operational. It has changed quite a bit over the years, now concentrating mainly on quality reproduction wall tiles and tessellated floor tiles, as well as antique prints.
All items that you may wish to purchase can be collected from these premises, located about 5 kms from the Melbourne CBD. Very large items, such as gates and fireplaces, will necessitate a trip to Yarrambat.
Some of the items, such as the original door knockers. represent part of a hardware collection that we amassed over a 40+ year period. We have aged along with the collection, and it is now time to part with these wonderful objects that have brought us so much pleasure. We hope that you will also enjoy their uniqueness and increasing rarity.
