An original Victorian cast iron door knocker by Clark (U.K.). 4140 stamp on back. C.1880. The knocker could also originally be set up to incorporate a bell mechanism (Waude's patented - see also DKR010), seemingly to augment the sound. With its Egyptian motif, the design is similar to DKR016.
