Original Victorian cast iron door knocker, including letter slot. English
c. 1880's. The decorative ferrule on the top left hand side of the hinge has been lost, at some stage in the knocker's life. The absence has been ringed in the image to the left, and is clearly visible in the image to the right. The ferrule is not essential and the knocker remains perfectly functional without it.
